Cask is looking for a Technical Writer/Editor for IT Projects to fit our team of artisan consultants in Stafford, VA.

This is a contingent Hire.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

All personnel must have an active Secret security clearance.

DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Tech Writer/Editor will provide professional copy editing and proofreading and ensure documentation quality control across a variety of IT projects.

Review docs for grammar and punctuation.  Perform quality control functions. Review and recommend updates to published documentation standards.  Review and update MOE, MOA, Service Level Agreements, and Interface Control Agreements.

Assist project/program managers with creation of acquisition documents, briefings, tech docs, etc.  Ensure that all docs are in compliance with DoD, DoN, and MCSC policies, directives, regulations, and guidance.

Produce or revise documents that are cohesive, free of redundancy and consistent with terminology and structure. Utilize establish templates and design document layouts as appropriate. Review documentation for accuracy of grammar and punctuation. Serve as documentation quality control agent. Recommend appropriate use of graphics, headings, figures, etc.

EXPERIENCE and EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience as a Technical Writer

Experience utilizing the Navy Correspondence Manual

Experience and knowledge of DoD, DON, and MCSC policies, directives, regulations, and guidance relative to Marine Corp documentation standards and requirements
