Position

The Cyber Security Analyst provides direct support to Joint Staff, C4 Cyber Directorate (J6), the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, and Joint Directorates. This support may include analysis to streamline information flow, create and improve business processes, and provide improved cybersecurity language for JCIDS requirements documentation. The Cyber Security Analyst performs Joint Staff and Combatant Command-level staff coordination and conducts detailed policy and technical analysis.

 

Duties

·        Research and analyze cybersecurity capabilities to satisfy data protection requirements

·        Analyze existing conceptual and requirements documents to assure conformance to operational, functional, technical, and contractually specified requirements

·        Draft point papers, memoranda, positions papers, issues analyses, briefings, and research and analysis products as required documenting analysis for Government approval

·        Evaluate cybersecurity controls to mitigate vulnerabilities and enhancements for cyber threats

·        Provide analysis of national and DoD cyber events to determine impacts

·        Review JCIDS requirements documents for cyber threat equities

·        Coordinate with relevant cyber operations and security organizations to include USCYBERCOM, DISA, Service cyber components, DC3, and the IC

·        Facilitate cyber threat working groups to develop processes to determine threat information required for JCIDS and DoD acquisition activities

·        Provide cyber threat analysis (written and oral presentations)

 

Education

·        BA/BS from an accredited college or university and five (5) to ten (10) years related experience

·        IAM/IAT Level III Certification per DoD 8570.01-M

 

Security Clearance: All personnel must have an active TS/SCI security clearance.
