The Senior Development Coordinator is a critical part of the development team providing administrative, research and data support to empower the team in achieving ambitious revenue and growth goals, helping to manage and maintain development data and systems, and assisting in the stewardship and appreciation of our incredible donors (they really are the best!). 



What You’ll Do


Administrative

·     Lead all administrative functions for the development team


·     Oversee general donor communications (general inquiries, emails, phone calls, etc.) 


·     Execute and ensure essential development processes including pledge fulfillments, gift entry, acknowledgement, reminders, follow-up processes, billing and reporting are timely, effective, and accurate


·     Manage and oversee the processing of all gifts (via mail, credit card, online, crypto and stock transfer) in coordination with the finance team


·     Perform general tasks around updating and canceling subscriptions, updating and cleaning up credit card records, end of year donation summaries, etc.


·     Support the team to ensure a high level of donor support and stewardship 


·     Manage the development of donor communication and donor lists


·     Provide support in monitoring and maintaining budgets for the development team 


Data

·     Design and produce a variety of fundraising and financial reports from Salesforce, and create interactive dashboards and reports to help inform internal teams on donor and campaign data


·     Organize and maintain accurate and timely entry of all donor and related records (including biographical information, gift and pledge data, etc.) 


·     Produce timely pledge reminders and monitor pledge payments in Salesforce


·     Analyze data to help fine-tune donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship efforts


·     Oversee and manage renewal, lapsed, and acquisition account data


·     Develop and maintain data entry standards, procedures, and supporting documentation


·     Ensure integrity and confidentiality of donor data and information


·     Reconcile Salesforce gift records with accounting data on a regular basis

Prospecting & Research

·     Discover and prioritize new donor prospects by utilizing various proactive prospecting methodologies, such as wealth screenings and data mining


·     Identify and analyze biographical and philanthropic information of potential donors and monitor accordingly


·     Identify, research, maintain and monitor information on potential sources of gifts, grants, and sponsorships and provide relevant research to assist with solicitations


·     General research as it pertains to the needs of the development team


·     Stay up-to-date on philanthropic trends and best practices

Required Education & Experience

·        Experience with a CRM fundraising database

o       Ideal candidate would have experience with the Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP, preferred) or similar non-profit donor management database/CRM


·        Experience with juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced non-profit environment with strong organizational skills and a high degree of attention to detail


·        General understanding of the field of prospect research


·        Experience with wealth screenings and evaluating philanthropic capacity


·        Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and advanced knowledge of MS Excel


·        Experience with Google Workspace (Drive, Doc, Sheets)


Salary & Title

We are open to candidates with varying levels of experience so please don’t hesitate to apply! In those cases, the salary range and title will be adjusted accordingly. For candidates with more experience we are open to hiring at the manager level, and for candidates with less experience, we’re open to hiring at a more entry level as well. The salary range listed is for the Senior Coordinator level.

Location

This position is based out of our headquarters in downtown Long Beach at 236 E 3rd St Ste 210, Long Beach, CA 90802. We have a hybrid work schedule where we go into the office once a week on Wednesdays.
