Supply Chain Manager

Keel Labs is looking for a talented and motivated individual to join our sourcing team to assist with the development of raw material and production supply chains.   • Develop, implement, and maintain a supply chain management system

  • Establish and implement a supplier vetting process of new and existing suppliers

  • Identify and develop new suppliers and improve the value-added level of existing suppliers in support of savings, quality, delivery and lead time reduction initiatives

  • Work with suppliers to address significant and/or systemic issues with performance (quality, delivery, warranty, etc.) 

  • Negotiate key items with suppliers including pricing, payment terms, lead time, and inventory programs

  • Establish quality control standards and other sourcing procedures

  • Develop SOPs and systems to catalog and track data

  • Regularly monitor market trends and purchase price variances. Resolve for any major changes with internal team members as well as suppliers

  • Create cost estimates and forecasts for the procurement of raw materials 

  • Collaborate cross functionally with teams including finance, partnerships, business development, etc. 

  • Translate key goals and KPIs from management in to project plans and actionable items

  • Utilize standard project management tools and summary documents to track and communicate status of projects.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and remain flexible and open-minded

  • Strong management skills to oversee a broad set of tasks and projects

  • Establish regular communication strategies with other team members and third parties

Required Skills:

  • Must have experience and know-how related to fiber production, supply mapping, and procurement

  • Must have experience and know-how related to seaweed

  • Experience in developing and scaling raw materials

  • Team growth and management 

  • Ability to handle confidential business information

  • Self-starter who can work independently 

  • Ability to learn new skills and problem solve

  • Professional, detail-oriented, and excellent in time management

  • Team player with a positive attitude

  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite


  • Knowledge/background in environments

  • A passion for sustainability and circular economies 

  • APICS or similar professional certification

  • Experience with research laboratories 

Job Details:

Qualification: Bachelor's or higher degree in business, economics, finance, logistics, or  relevant disciplines

5+ years of professional experience with manufacturing procedures

Employment: Full-time
