AlgiKnit is looking for a motivated Director of Finance who is excited to drive company growth, develop and build new business and manage the company's financial reporting process. Responsibilities:

  • Manage the company’s monthly close and financial reporting process.
  • Liaison with the accounting team to manage the company's accounting function, including revenue cycle management, payables, expenses and taxes.
  • Establish financial KPIs and provide the company’s departmental leaders with accurate and timely financial reporting against relevant metrics.
  • Own and lead the company’s financial planning & analysis function, including building and maintaining the company’s overall budgeting and operating model.
  • Organize and engage in strategic discussions with founders and investors
  • Supply financial and business/modeling support to the rest of the company, particularly as teams evaluate new initiatives, projects, hiring plans, and marginal profitability/cost analyses.
  • Participate in decisions around unit economics, pricing, and critical contracts.
  • Help lead the company through fundraising and strategic partnership/essential transaction efforts.
  • Lead communication and reporting to the Board of Directors regarding business and financial performance.
  • Develop and implement procedures that impact budgets, costs and strategic goals.
  • Prepare and review pro financial statements, forecasts and G&A expenditures.
  • Develop and maintain key banking and investor relationships.
  • Oversee the company’s annual financial audit process
  • Manage external accounting and tax firms


Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite
  • Excellent organizational skills to meet goals, set priorities, and work under short deadlines in a new environment.
  • Strong time management skills with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, and ability to express technical and nontechnical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Efficient and effective communication skills across an interdisciplinary team
  • Innate drive to succeed, take initiative, lead a team and own all aspects of the Finance role

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years in progressive finance roles
  • 5 years of management experience
  • Background in corporate finance, venture-backed, private equity, or other finance-focused, high-growth, and entrepreneurial environments.
