As Social Media Manager, primary responsibilities include – Creating, managing, and executing social media campaigns that engage and build the audience of HODINKEE. The Social Media Manager will work closely with the Marketing, Editorial and PR teams to ensure that the Company's message is consistent across all social media platforms.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will…

Be Watch Content Superstar

  • Focus on social content creation with a deep passion and acute sensitivity in watchmaking, sports, cars and popular culture. Be aAble to create and produce captivating and entertaining content that reflect Hodinkee’s value and standard.

  • Plan and execute monthly content strategy across Instagram, Facebook Group, Twitter, Linkedin based on engagement, performance, and branding. Combine a deep understanding of the target customer and brand positioning with engaging content.

  • Proactively produce and own a social-alone content planning calendar, and to propose and communicate with the managing editor on a weekly basis.

  • Proactively produce and manage a calendar of watch anniversaries, cultural millstones and key launches, to inform daily social media content planning and align with the industry standard.

  • Independently propose minimum 2 watch spotting pieces per week, proactively propose to the managing editor for review and publishing.

  • Storytell through compelling content – both photography and videography - that drives high-value engagement from the audience and grows followers.

Conduct and Communicate Reporting and Analytics

  • Be able to conduct weekly content performance reporting + key insights and execute campaign-specific reports.

  • Proactively produce and communicate @hodinkee account's performance reporting with key stakeholders and the editorial team on the weekly editorial rundown meeting, and share data-informed content planning recommendations.

  • Closely monitor high-performing archival editorial content, and produce social content to resurface them on a daily basis on social media via desirable designed formats, in order to drive website traffic.

  • Able to identify relevant social, and ecommerce industry trends for in-the-moment content creation opportunities.

Collaborate Internally & Externally

  • Report into the Head of Social Media and cCollaborate with multiple teams across the organization including Editorial, Brand & Digital, Marketing, E-Commerce and Creative to deliver an effective content social media strategy to meet Hodinkee’s business theHodinkee BusinessHodinkee’s Company’s business objectives.

  • Be a natural people-personnaturalA people-person: able to interact with the Hodinkee Community customers and communities online while ensuring brand tone, voice and personality are consistent and elevated.

  • Able to identify relevant social, and ecommerce industry trends for in-the-moment content creation opportunities.

  • Be a proactive communicator and team player, to propose, discuss and review content creation plans with the managing editor on a daily basis.

  • Able to multitask and navigate ambiguity. 

  • Can travel if needed.

Hard Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Visual Arts & Design, or a related field.

  • Graphic and video editing skills are a must. Expert in Photoshop, Figma, and video editing tools. Photography and videography production experience and capabilities are a plus.

  • Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role. Strong knowledge of social media platforms and their respective audiences.

  • Experience with social media management tools such asSprout Social.

  • Strong analytical skills to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
