LOCATION

Candidates should be based in the NY metro area. We are a hybrid organization that works three days (Tuesday through Thursday) in-office weekly in our downtown New York City office.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Temporary Event Coordinator to provide critical support for CRUS’s annual gala this December. Your responsibilities include interfacing with donors, liaising with vendors, drafting communications, and supporting internal gala processes. 

 

The event coordinator must be organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills. 

 

This contract role supports the Director of Individual Giving through December 20, 2024.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Manage event RSVPs, registration lists, and guest communications.

  • Collect guests names, donor listings, and program ads from ticket buyers.

  • Manage ticket and credential distribution process.

  • Support event logistics.    

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial reports.

  • Coordinate with the Finance Department to manage pledges for donors and vendors. 

  • Collect donor information and ensure CRM records are complete and accurate.

  • Manage the check-in process at the event.

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) 

  • Experience working on non-profit events 

  • Experience in managing budgets and tracking expenses

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workplace

  • Experience in event planning or event coordination in a non-profit environment

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain a customer-service mindset

 

THE PAY

CRUS offers competitive compensation. The hourly range for this role is anticipated to be $21.00 - $29.00.  The actual salary is dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: abilities, skills, work experience, knowledge, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
