LOCATION

Candidates should be based in the NY metro area. We are a hybrid organization and work three days per week in our downtown New York City office.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

This position sits on the Development and Fundraising team, directly supporting the Director, Partnership Development in activities related to identifying, prospecting, converting, and sustaining high-value corporate partnerships, with the goal of generating income and consumer fundraising opportunities. This role provides a significant opportunity to learn business development skills and offers many collaborative opportunities to work across departments (Marketing and Activation, PR and Communications in particular). An ideal candidate will have an eagerness to advance in their career in an outward-facing sales capacity and has the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly-fluid environment.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • 50% – Provide Comprehensive Administrative Support: Prepare pre-meeting briefings for key attendees and stakeholders involved in partnership meetings or presentations, ensuring everyone is well-informed and prepared. Develop follow-up materials from external calls, meticulously tracking action items and ensuring timely execution. Collate meeting recap notes and meticulously update our CRM database with accurate partner contact information, interactions, and communication history.

  • 20% – Template Development and Management: Collaborate closely with the Partnership Development Manager to develop and maintain templates for partnership materials, including proposals, agreements, and presentations. Ensure these materials are effectively loaded into Accelerist or similar platforms for streamlined access and utilization.

  • 15% - Contribute to Partnership Strategy Enhancement: Collaborate with the Partnership Development Team and wider Development and Fundraising Team to analyze partnership trends, successes, and areas for improvement. Participate in brainstorming sessions and strategy meetings to enhance our partnership approach and identify new opportunities for growth and innovation. Provide input on the development of long-term partnership strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Conduct research on potential new partnership avenues, including emerging sectors or industries, to diversify our partnership portfolio and expand our impact. Present findings and recommendations to the Partnership Development Team and other relevant stakeholders, contributing to strategic decision-making processes.

  • 10% – Act as a Liaison: Serve as a crucial link between our organizational teams (and externally as needed),  providing regular updates, facilitating communication, and offering support as needed to foster strong relationships.

  • 5% Respond to and undertake requests and special projects that advance the work, stewardship activities and profile of the Partnerships department or organization as a whole as directed by the Director of Partnership Development or SVP, Fundraising and Development

 

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor's degree in business, nonprofit management, communications, or related field

  • At least 1 year of experience in partnership development, fundraising, business development, or related roles, preferably in the nonprofit sector

  • You are a proactive doer who is a self-starter 

  • You pay attention to each and every detail and have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts

  • You are a team player and a collaborator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • You are eager to learn and develop along with our organization 

  • You are familiar with Google Productivity Suite and CRM systems (ideally HubSpot) as well as AI notetaking software services and prospecting tools like Accelerist

THE PAY

CRUS offers competitive compensation. The salary range for this role is anticipated to be $62,400 - $65,000. The actual salary is dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: abilities, skills, work experience, knowledge, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
