LOCATION

Candidates should be based in the NY metro area as this position requires you to commute 2-3 times per week to the New York City office.


ABOUT THE ROLE

The UI Engineer will work with and report to the Director, Digital Product and Projects. You will design and build landing pages for Comic Relief US’  marketing initiatives, with functionality and aesthetics top-of-mind. The role includes designing wireframes, implementing designs in a CMS and maintaining website design quality. 


To ensure success as a UI engineer, you should have in-depth knowledge of front-end languages, excellent visualization skills, clear communication skills and good project management skills.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Design and build landing pages for marketing and fundraising campaigns in Webflow.

  • Monitor, maintain and improve our static site to drive better performance.

  • Communicate design ideas using user flows, process flows, site maps, and wireframes.

  • Maintain site metric tracking and use data to recommend improvements.

  • Implement and monitor A/B tests.

  • Work with the Creative team to establish and enforce digital design guidelines, standards, and best practices. 

  • Design visuals for use on the website and ensure that they are in line with branding guidelines.

  • Write front-end code to customize the user interface of Blackbaud TeamRaiser and Luminate Online pages.

  • Debug code errors and troubleshooting software issues.

  • Work with the Sr Manager of Digital Conversion and Performance  to design and develop email campaigns that delight and inspire our donors, with an emphasis on customer segmentation, testing protocol, and technical execution

  • Contribute to the continued evolution of the Comic Relief brand.


ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, graphic design, web design, or similar field.

  • Portfolio of work showing appreciation for design quality, delight and polish.

  • In-depth knowledge of user interface models, application design, and website functionality.

  • Understanding of key design principles.

  • Proficient with front-end languages including HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.

  • Familiarity with prototyping tools such as Figma or Sketch.

  • Knowledge of graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop

  • Driven self-starter who’s results-oriented and impact-driven

  • Resourceful problem-solver who is organized, efficient, and proactive

  • Strength in working in a fast-paced environment, under pressure and meeting deadlines.

  • Great sense of ingenuity, curiosity, and humor.

THE PAY

CRUS offers competitive compensation. The salary range for this role is anticipated to be $70,000 - $80,000. The actual salary is dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: abilities, skills, work experience, knowledge, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
