ROLE OVERVIEW
The Talent Manager is responsible for supporting and building talent, creator and influencer relationships in alignment with Comic Relief’s mission to drive positive change through the power of entertainment. The Talent Manager works to deliver and manage a network of authentic, meaningful and strategic relationships with talent to help amplify the work of Comic Relief US.
We are looking for a dynamic and creative individual who understands the entertainment and digital worlds, with a strong sense for how to leverage within the nonprofit sector. The ideal candidate is passionate about our mission and excited by the opportunity to engage the entertainment community in our cause. This role reports to the SVP, Development and works very closely with our Entertainment Team and external bookers.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Build and maintain new relationships with talent and talent reps (publicists, managers, agents) to reach new and diverse audiences
Support internal teams with creative ideas and insights for pitches of how talent and influencers could help to bring partnerships and activations to life
Advise and guide internal teams on the use of talent to achieve their strategic objectives
Oversee talent requests across the team and ensure that they are recorded, managed and tracked in a clear and concise manner
Work with PR, creative and digital teams to deliver talent and talent partnership proposals
Ensure talent and their reps are properly briefed ahead of activations
Manage talent at shoots, field trips and events as needed
Work with entertainment team and external partners to support delivery of talent and influencers for key initiatives
Independently book and manage talent and influencers
Maintain working knowledge of the entertainment industry and best practices
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Bachelor's degree in PR/comms/marketing, management, or a related field.
Experience working with talent.
Excellent pitching abilities.
Entertainment industry knowledge.
Ability to network and maintain professional relationships.
Strong marketing knowledge.
Flexible, detailed oriented, team player
5-7 years of experience (3+ years providing administrative support a plus)
Experience with booking artists is a plus but not required.
Experience working at a pr, talent or marketing agency or network/streamer is a plus but not required.
Experience working as a promoter or talent manager is a plus but not required
Excellent Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills

Excellent judgment with respect to representing Comic Relief to buyers, business world, etc.

Able to maintain organization and composure while anticipating needs in a high pressure situations with rapidly changing priorities
