Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Research and devise innovative statistical models for data analysis and machine learning applications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Clean, preprocess, and analyze large datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and insights.
- Develop and implement predictive models using advanced statistical techniques such as regression analysis, time series analysis, and classification algorithms.
- Evaluate model performance and iterate on models to improve accuracy and effectiveness.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders through visualizations, presentations, and reports.
- Work in an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
- Utilize version control systems like Git to manage codebase and collaborate with team members effectively.
- Continuously learn and stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in data science and machine learning.
Qualifications and Skills
- Master's degree preferred or equivalent experience in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
- 0-6 years of experience in data science, analytics, or related field.
- Strong mathematical and statistical expertise with a deep understanding of statistical tests, distributions, and regression analysis.
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think analytically.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with a passion for learning and staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
Physical Requirements
