As a Data Scientist at our company, you will play a crucial role in unlocking insights from complex datasets to drive business decisions and innovation. Your expertise in mathematical and statistical analysis will be instrumental in extracting actionable insights and creating predictive models. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Research and devise innovative statistical models for data analysis and machine learning applications.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
  • Clean, preprocess, and analyze large datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and insights.
  • Develop and implement predictive models using advanced statistical techniques such as regression analysis, time series analysis, and classification algorithms.
  • Evaluate model performance and iterate on models to improve accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders through visualizations, presentations, and reports.
  • Work in an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Utilize version control systems like Git to manage codebase and collaborate with team members effectively.
  • Continuously learn and stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in data science and machine learning.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Master's degree preferred or equivalent experience in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 0-6 years of experience in data science, analytics, or related field.
  • Strong mathematical and statistical expertise with a deep understanding of statistical tests, distributions, and regression analysis.
  • Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think analytically.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for learning and staying updated on industry trends and best practices.

Physical Requirements

  • Flexible to work additional hours as needed to meet project deadlines.
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting of equipment or materials may be required but not exceeding 20 pounds.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and through digital channels.
