Position Summary
The Director of Product — LAS will report to and partner closely with the General Manager, Loan Acquisitions, to advance the LAS platform by translating client needs, market insights, and strategic goals into a clear and actionable roadmap with measurable outcomes.

This role leverages extensive industry knowledge and experience in mortgage correspondent, wholesale, and other loan acquisition and loan sale operations to identify opportunities, propose effective solutions, and guide the evolution of the platform. With oversight from the platform GM, the Director will lead the design of intuitive, efficient, and user-centered UI solutions that enhance usability and deliver meaningful client value.

In addition to shaping design direction, the Director will own and lead key initiatives, ensuring the successful and timely implementation of platform solutions and enhancements that drive measurable impact. Serving as the connective force among business stakeholders, business analysts, and engineering teams, this role ensures LAS continues to deliver market-competitive, innovative, and operationally sound capabilities for participants across the secondary market.

The Director of Product will play a critical role in defining and guiding the strategic direction of the platform to ensure it meets the evolving needs of our client base while increasing the platform’s appeal and competitiveness within the broader marketplace of secondary marketing participants.


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the LAS General Manager to evaluate client needs, identify market opportunities, and recommend platform enhancements that align with strategic objectives.
  • Leverage deep expertise in correspondent, wholesale, and loan acquisition and sale operations to shape the LAS product vision, roadmap, and feature prioritization.
  • Design and guide the development of intuitive, user-centered UI solutions that enhance usability, improve workflow efficiency, and elevate the client experience.
  • Own and lead key platform initiatives from concept through successful and timely implementation, including defining scope, managing timelines, mitigating risks, and coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to validate feasibility, scalability, and alignment with platform standards.
  • Provide product direction and domain expertise to business analysis resources to ensure high-quality, actionable requirements.
  • Serve as the product-facing point of contact for clients, implementation teams, and client success managers, helping resolve complex issues and guiding best system usage.
  • Translate client feedback, operational insights, and internal strategy into clear, structured requirements that drive impactful platform enhancements.
  • Monitor adoption and performance of released solutions, gather feedback, and lead continuous iteration and improvement.
  • Ensure LAS delivers differentiated, marketable capabilities that strengthen its competitive position in the secondary market.
  • Represent the LAS platform internally and externally as a subject matter expert, effectively communicating its vision, value, and strategic direction.

 


Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in mortgage secondary marketing, with deep expertise in mortgage originations, correspondent and wholesale loan acquisitions, and secondary marketing loan sale operations.
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end loan acquisition process, including pricing, due diligence, purchase, and settlement workflows
  • Exceptional ability to translate market and client insights into actionable product requirements and enhancements.
  • Proven experience leading product strategy and delivery within a SaaS, fintech, or mortgage technology environment.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and implementing user-focused experiences and UI solutions that drive adoption and operational efficiency.
  • Skilled at managing multiple, large-scale initiatives with a focus on timely delivery and measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative and decisive approach to problem-solving.
