Role Summary
The IT Field Technician provides onsite technical support for users and infrastructure across multiple manufacturing sites. The role combines hands-on field service with Tier 1–2 help desk responsibilities, ensuring reliable operation of IT systems and end-user productivity.

Onsite | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM PST | Monday–Friday
Responsibilities
- Provide onsite and remote support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Support Microsoft 365, Windows, and line-of-business applications used in manufacturing operations.
- Maintain and document IT assets, tickets, and work performed in the ITSM platform.
- Perform network patching, cable management, and site-level infrastructure checks.
- Coordinate incident escalation with central IT operations and systems operations teams.
- Support workstation imaging, updates, and endpoint security compliance.
- Maintain uptime for critical systems at production sites and offices.
- Provide user onboarding, account setup, and access control per defined procedures.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of IT field or desktop support experience, preferably in a manufacturing or multi-site environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365/Entra, and Active Directory.
- Familiarity with basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Wi-Fi).
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair common desktop and printer issues.
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., HaloPSA, ServiceNow, or similar).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Professional communication and documentation skills.
Preferred
- Experience supporting shop-floor or industrial control systems.
- Understanding of ITIL-based service management practices.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications.
Work Environment
Primaril onsite in a manufacturing environment. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and safely handle IT equipment.
Reporting Line
Reports to the IT Operations Manager or designated Site IT Lead.
