Position: Concert Event Manager III

Location: BTS Catering & Events

Reports to: Director of Operations, Event Manager I

Hourly Range: $20-$25 determined based on experience

Schedule: Part-Time hourly up to 40 hours a week

Experience: Small Event Experience (< 50 persons),

BTS Company Overview: This position is with a large well-established hospitality company; a progressive and diverse company that has been serving the corporate, social, and production industry for over 35 years. The company is headquartered in San Diego, California and services large corporations, private clients, major sporting events (including the Super Bowl, Farmers Insurance Open, Rose Bowl, and the Olympics), news broadcast companies including NBC, venues, concert tours, corporate marketing tours, and large-scale events throughout the globe.

Job Summary: This position will consist of management of service employees, fielding high

profile client needs on site, menu integrity, communication with onsite kitchen team, timely

service, set-up, clean-up, load-out and overall operation of catering areas at all assigned

concerts and events. Employee will communicate event details with Sales Manager and

Executive Chef prior and post event.

 

Job Duties:

  1. Event Management General Operations (Concerts)
  1. Oversee job duties and performance of all staff at applicable events.
  2. Assure all assigned event(s) are set up, maintained, and serviced according to BTS standards and as designated by BTS Sales Management.
  3. Follow Concert Guidelines Listed Below.
  4. Assist Warehouse Manager and Warehouse Staff in maintaining inventory of dry goods, beverages, linen, décor, food items, paper products, etc…
  5. Assist Operations Manager, Sales Manager, and Warehouse Manager with pre-production and logistics as related to specific special events.
  6. Work with kitchen staff to assure timely and efficient menu output at designated service times as well as ensure BTS is only serving high quality, delicious food.
  7. Work with BTS management team and onsite staff to assure venue site set-up, break down and other related tasks and details are done well and with integrity.
  8. Maintain good driving etiquette (no talking or texting while driving, no speeding, no rolling stops etc.)
  9. Responsible for working with staff to assure all site equipment is properly inventoried upon site delivery and load-out. 

 

 

  1. Management Reporting/Responsibilities
  1. Work with BTS Management Team to assure proper communication and information dissemination between BTS Management Team and staff.
  2. Attend and participate in regular management staff meetings pre and post large events. 
  3. Provide regular updates and reports as to progress and issues relating to assigned event(s).

  1. Lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling 50 pounds or over

  4. Exposure to heat and cold, various outdoor/weather elements
  5. Exposure to loud noise
  6. Exposure to solvents, fumes, chemical cleaning supplies
