Position: Warehouse Supervisor   

Location: BTS Catering & Events  

Reports to: Director of Operations  

Full Time Hourly: 40 hours per week with potential for overtime   

Compensation: $25/hour plus benefits  

Schedule: 40 Hours per week with one weekend day required  

Experience: 3 years’ experience in Management and Warehouse setting

Job Summary: A Warehouse Supervisor plays a crucial role in managing the daily operations and safety protocols within the warehouse. They oversee the work and development of warehouse staff, ensure proper inventory counts and processes, manage shipping and receiving, and coordinate with other departments to ensure efficiency and productivity.  

 

  1. Overseeing Warehouse Operations 

 

  1. Supervise and lead warehouse operations, including loading/unloading, receiving, sorting, put away, picking, and inventory control.  

  1. Ensure that all procedures and best practices are consistently followed by the warehouse team.  

  1. Drive an efficient and motivated workforce by providing effective coaching, feedback, and encouragement. 

  1. Manage daily task list in coordination with Warehouse Manager and Director of Operations.  

  1. Assign work, review work, and manage performance in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and performance management processes.  

  1. Assist Operations Manager with scheduling Warehouse staff for events offsite.  

  1. Assist Warehouse Manager by coordinating with Special Projects Manager to schedule Warehouse staff for BTS special projects throughout the year.  

 

 

 

 

  1. General Operations/ Inventory 

 

  1. Assist Warehouse Manager with inventory of warehouse equipment, china, linen, décor, dry goods, beverages, etc. by conducting physical counts and reconciling with inventory system.  

  1. Assist with Event Set Up/Strike based on event need.  

  1. Establish procedures for warehouse receiving area and maintain logs in coordination with the Front Office.  

  1. Maintain BTS Vehicle Maintenance Program through established tracking system, keeping up to date with regular and scheduled maintenance and repair of BTS vehicle fleet.  

  1. Work with Warehouse Manager to establish new protocols and procedures to ensure that all events are complete and accurate when pulled and trucks/vans are properly loaded, and all equipment is accounted for.     

  1. Work with Warehouse Manager to establish new protocols and procedures to ensure that all equipment and rentals are properly returned and inventoried to the warehouse. 

 

  1. Special Projects  

 

  1. Work with BTS Managers on special projects and events.  

  1. Work with Warehouse Manager to create and implement operational systems and procedures to be carried out by all warehouse/logistics staff.  

  1. Oversee and monitor equipment maintenance needs and repairs, as required.  

  1. Other special project duties as assigned. 

 

  1. Management Reporting/Responsibilities  

 

  1. Work with BTS Management Team to assure proper communication and information dissemination between BTS Management Team and staff.  

  1. Provide regular updates and reports as to the progress and issues relating to the warehouse, as requested. 

 

  1. Safety and Compliance 

 

  1. Enforce safety standards and adhere to standard operational procedures.  

  1. Monitor Warehouse Associates to ensure safety procedures are followed when operating forklifts and other machinery.  

 

 

 

 

  1. Qualifications and Skills 

 

  1. Strong communication, interpersonal skills, leadership, and conflict resolution abilities.  

  1. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and inventory management software. 

  1. Critical thinking ability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.  

  1. Experience operating forklift and cherry picker equipment.  

  1. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is a plus.  

  1. Third party Logistics for events. 

  1. Proven track record of managing at least up to 6 employees.
