BTS Company Overview: This position is with a large well-established hospitality company; a progressive and diverse company that has been serving the corporate, social, and production industry for over 35 years. Destiny Coast, located in La Jolla California is offering Mediterranean costal views and has been open and operating since June of 2025.
Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Prep Cook looking to work at our face-paced restaurant located in La Jolla California. Prep Cooks are a tipped position and are responsible for assisting in food preparation at Destiny Coast, maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen as well as abiding by food safety regulations.
Job Duties:
- Follow instructions when preparing ingredients for events.
- Assist in inventory management.
- Ensure timely execution of tasks while at events to keep to timelines.
- Follow safety guidelines to ensure the quality of food products.
- Strong organizational skills and time management skills.
Skills Required:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items.
- Flexibility in scheduling and changes.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Scheduling:
- Part time position with up to 40 hours a week, must be available weekdays and weekends.
- Time off requests are considered based on needs of the business and must be submitted no later than two weeks in advance.
- Morning shifts are 6:30am-3:00pm and 8:30am-4:30pm 7 days a week.
- Evening shifts are Wednesday-Sunday 1:00pm-10:00pm
