Position Summary

BTS Hospitality is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Marketing to lead brand growth, demand generation, and digital presence for our San Diego-based catering and events company. This role oversees all marketing initiatives with a strong emphasis on social media, content strategy, brand positioning, and revenue-driven campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’s comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with revenue goals.

• Lead annual and quarterly marketing planning, budgeting, and performance tracking.

• Oversee social media strategy, content calendars, and platform growth.

• Guide paid social and digital advertising strategy to maximize ROI.

• Direct content creation including event coverage and culinary storytelling.

• Oversee website updates, SEO strategy, and email marketing performance.

• Manage and mentor internal marketing staff and external vendors.

• Establish KPIs and deliver monthly executive performance reports.

• Identify local partnership and market growth opportunities in San Diego.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 5+ years of progressive marketing experience, including leadership responsibility.

• Proven success in hospitality, catering, events, or lifestyle brand marketing.

• Strong expertise in social media strategy, content marketing, and digital advertising.

• Experience managing marketing budgets and campaign ROI.

• Proficiency with marketing and design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Meta Business Manager, Google Analytics, etc.).

• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.

• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for event coverage.

• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally within San Diego County.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in luxury weddings, corporate catering, or Restaurant hospitality high-end events.

• Strong photography/video direction skills.

• Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation platforms.

• Experience with local SEO and Google Business optimization.

• Established network within the San Diego events community.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $85,000 – $95,000 annually (DOE).
