Job Title: Technical Writer - Remote 

 

Summary: The Technical Writer will assist tax managers and partners with limited supervision in completing reports for tax incentive studies for a variety of clients 

 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Research relevant technical topics relating to our clients and the various industries we serve such as Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing, Software, and more 

  • Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension 

  • Generate ideas for content and workflow solutions 

  • Meet with subject-matter expert to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed 

  • Analyze information required for the development or update of policy, procedure and form documentation 

  • Review, copy and edit content developed by members of the team 

  • Research relevant technical topics relating to our clients 

  • Update and maintain project milestones and action items in Excel 

  • Substantiate results on consulting projects through presentations and written reports to clients 

  • Assist in the research & analysis of client data 

  • Conduct client interviews, gather and review client documentation 

  • Organize incoming documents and files from clients 

  • Produce a technical summary to the client on the status of project 

  • Coordinate appointments, prepare reports, maintain client Salesforce 

  • Review all final reports for formatting and accuracy 

  • Expectation of confidentiality in all business matter 

 

Skills & Qualifications 

·   Bachelor’s degree in related field required 

·   Previous experience in technical writing 

·   Previous experience with R&D tax credit projects in quantification and documentation preferred 

·   Some travel required (about up to 5% of work time traveling) 

·   Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat 

·   Time management and attention to detail 

·   Ability to prioritize and multi-task on a variety of tasks and projects 

·   Clear written and verbal communication skills, strong documentation skills 

·   Strong client interaction skills 

·   Self-starter, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude and a good sense of humor 

·   Must have reliable transportation and secure work location
