Job Title: Mid-Level Systems Engineer –

Immediate requirement for Systems Engineer to provide support for standard/specification development, assessment criteria development, and Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR).  Support efforts reviewing acquisition programs implementation of Human Factors Domains (Manpower, Personnel, Training, Habitability, Safety & Occupational Health, and Force Protection & Survivability).  

Located in San Diego, CA, some remote work may be possible.

Applicants must meet the requirement of U.S. Citizenship and have an active SECRET security clearance.

Primary Skills & Responsibilities:

·         Conduct independent assessments at technical program elements (e.g., systems engineering technical reviews, milestone decision reviews, certification events, and independent reviews) and develop Risk, Issue and Opportunity (RIO) assessments.

·         Coordinate with government engineers to oversee, maintain, develop, and implement technical standards within the Human Factor Domain.

·         Maintain and update Technical Standards, checklists, guidelines, and instructions based on new DoD/DON/industry policies and instructions.

·         Provide System Engineering support with acquisition programs of record, including in-depth review of engineering documentation.

·         Review how programs plan to ensure human capability is factored into total system performance in the software acquisition process and the systems engineering lifecycle of all NAVWAR systems.

·         Review Manpower Personnel Training & Education requirements in conjunction with program requirements.

  Education/Certifications/Clearance:

  • BS in a Technical degree or relevant experience.
  • Five (5) years’ Systems Engineering Experience.
  • Knowledgeable in and possess a strong understanding of DoD and NAVWAR relevant policies, technical standards , and guidance such as DoD 5000.05.
  • DoD Systems Engineering Guidebook
  • Demonstrated acquisition experience, completed DAU Acquisition 101.

Requires an active Secret Clearance
