Summary:


Serve as Subject Matter Expert providing Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) planning, analysis of assigned SATCOM assets for DoD. Particular emphasis on SATCOM interference identification, analysis, and resolution.


Primary Skills & Responsibilities:


Provide A&AS to accomplish Engineering and Analytical support for the following tasks:


·       Assist with identification and resolution of SATCOM Interference to include:


·       Detection, identification (including geolocation), and reporting of SATCOM interference and jamming issues


·       Support development of interference and jamming resolution courses of action in conjunction with the Joint Staff, CC/S/As, and Joint Spectrum Center


·       Preparing and publishing procedures for the resolution of non-jamming interference with DoD and leased SATCOM services


·       Preparing interference case files and foreign disclosure packages for ongoing efforts to mitigate and resolve SATCOM interference


Experience:


Must have at least five (5) years of relevant SATCOM experience that includes:


·       Experienced in SATCOM interference identification and resolution


·       Experienced and knowledgeable of intelligence capabilities, processes, and tasking mechanisms  in the role of the Global SATCOM Operational Manager as described in CJCSI 6250.01 Series


·       In-depth knowledge and experience with one or more of the following systems: Milstar, Enhanced Polar System (EPS), Milstar Communications Planning Tool- Integrated (MCPT-I), Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF), Time Distribution Sub-system Pre-Processor (TDSPP), Fleet Satellite Communications System (FLTSAT), Joint MILSATCOM Network Integrated (JMINI), Integrated Broadcast Service (IBS), Mobile User Objective System (MUOS), Ultra High Frequency Follow-on (UFO), Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS), Global Broadcast System (GBS), Joint SATCOM Management and Planning System (JSMPS), or Joint Integrated SATCOM Tool (JIST)

Education/Certifications/Clearance:


·       Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or related technical field such as electrical engineering, computer science, or information technology BS in Information Systems or 6 years additional relevant training and experience in lieu of degree

An active Top Secret Clearance required and SCI eligible
