• Job Title:  Systems Analyst
  • Location:  San Diego - HQ
  • Summary:  This position is in support Navy’s various Unmanned Systems. This effort provides support to the NIWC Pacific Unmanned Systems (UxS) Cybersecurity Engineering Services (UCES) Integrated Product Team (IPT) for researching, recommending, designing, and implementing high assurance technical solutions in the fields of cryptographic solutions, cryptographic key management, Cross Domain Solutions (CDS), Cybersecurity Testing, TEMPEST, Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Program Protection implementation including Critical Program Information (CPI), Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM), Software Assurance, and Anti-Tamper implementation. 
  • Primary Responsibilities:
  • Review/update for review, existing technical and management documentation.  Participate in meetings, conferences, and symposia.
  • Develop and/or analyze security architectures (component, system, systems of systems, etc.), standards, and specifications.
  • Ensure any equipment/system installed or integrated into Navy platform will meet the cybersecurity requirements as specified under DoDI 8500.01.
  • Analyze, identify, specify and track current and emerging business opportunities related to assured computer and networking as well as integrated circuit design.
  • Hands-on experience in evaluating results to validate if controls are in compliance with NIST Special Publication 800-53A, 800-37, 800-115, FIPS 199, FIPS 200, and other guidelines.
  • Develop system architecture and cryptographic device design for compliance with unmanned cryptography operational requirements, such as onboard zeroization design and removal of some cryptographic algorithms.
  • Ensure that no Functional Area Manager (FAM) disapproved applications are integrated, installed or operational on Navy networks.
  • Qualifications/Skills/Minimum Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of systems experience.
  • SME-level understanding of NIST SP 800-53 security controls and 800-37 security guidelines, Risk Management Framework (RMF) and FISMA requirements.
  • MS Office, Project, Visio, and SharePoint skills.
  • Current active DoD Secret clearance is preferred, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI if applicable.
  • Education and Certifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (7 years of applicable experience will be considered in lieu of degree.)
