About the Role:

Wolfe Research is seeking a motivated Sales Assistant to support our Chicago Senior Salesperson. The Sales Assistant role is a great opportunity for a strong candidate with a personality that lends itself to Sales and has a genuine interest in financial markets. The hiring Sales team is primarily responsible for providing Research Sales coverage for Chicago-based Institutional Investors. You will be responsible for supporting the senior members of your team, while developing your sales skills and industry knowledge that you’ll need to advance into an Associate role.


Responsibilities & Professional Experience:

  • Support to Senior Sales Team
  • Maintaining our client CRM, including extracting client resource utilization to ensure proper monetization
  • Helping identify revenue generating opportunities
  • Continually ensuring proper and efficient distribution of research
  • Help maintain and prioritize client needs and requests 
  • Participate in group projects to help improve the operations of the sales force
  • Responsible for creating client presentations using Excel & PowerPoint
  • Develop and maintain client lists within Wolfe's CRM
  • Over time, participate in client meetings and entertainment


  • A clear track record of excellence and high achievement in prior activities, including academics
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • General interest in financial markets, rudimentary knowledge of equity markets and the institutional equity marketplace
  • Coursework or experience should include some combination of economics and business
  • Ability to work on a team - please be prepared to provide examples
  • Self-motivated to learn about the markets, with an eye toward becoming an effective salesperson
  • Required to successfully pass industry certifications / licenses to engage in client-facing activities including the SIE, Series 7 & 63 exams
