SUMMARY
This position is primarily responsible for the process of identifying, engaging, and managing suppliers of goods and services. The role helps locate key suppliers and negotiate purchase agreements with them on behalf of Intrepid to obtain the highest quality of goods and services at the lowest price points possible. This is an onsite position located in Eden Prarie, MN.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: What will you be doing?
- Monitoring order volumes across queues and workload balancing. Weekly management of inventory across a few locations to ensure adequate volumes for both construction and operations vendors
- Coordination of incoming and outgoing shipments, including managing the schedule, logistics, and maintaining internal quantity minimums.
- Supporting the development and implementation of systems and processes used to engage and manage engineering, construction, operations, material, and maintenance vendors.
- Preparing proposals and requesting quotes from vendors, and supporting negotiations of purchase terms and conditions.
- Collecting and inputting accurate information to report on and measure the performance of vendors, as well as assisting with the timely and accurate fulfillment of purchase orders.
- Maintaining supplies for local field employees.
- Adhering to current contracts, systems, and processes.
- Assuring adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
Responsible for supporting the availability of goods and accountable for the accuracy of inventory data.

- 3+ years of experience in a related field or position, experience related directly to procuring and managing a diverse group of goods and services vendors for a large fiber-based network preferred but not required.
