Role Summary: 

The Accounting Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial operations of a small, tight-knit team while collaborating with leadership to drive financial growth and sustainability. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a real growth story and help shape the future of a budding organization.  Manage the accounting team and processes including the functions of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management & Planning, Payroll, and General Ledger. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the monthly close process. 

  • Manage financial reporting processes, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. 

  • Manage payroll and billing operations to ensure timely and accurate payments. 

  • Collaborate with leadership on financial planning and strategy to support organizational growth. 

  • Provide financial analysis to drive decision-making and sustainability. 

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards. 

  • Preparing for and organizing the annual external Audit and answering Auditor questions.  

  • Maintain banking relationships. 

  • Perform regular reconciliations of accounts, investigating and resolving any discrepancies to maintain financial integrity. 

  • Stay up-to-date with financial and accounting regulations and ensure the organization's adherence to relevant laws and standards. 

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will also be considered. 

  • 3-5 years of accounting or financial experience. 

  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and payroll processes. 

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. 

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. 

  • Experience with NetSuite preferred.
