Role and Responsibilities

• Remove & Replace automatic transmissions.
• Communicate directly with Shop Foreman or service advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Maintain a tidy well organized shop work area.
• Ensure that repair and replace process promotes safety and is in accordance with OSHA and other appropriate standards. 

Utilize and maintain required personal protective equipment as required for position and individual tasks.  Examples include: safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, etc. 

• Operate a forklift and other company vehicles observing applicable laws and licensing requirements.

Qualifications  

• High School diploma or equivalent required

• A valid drivers’ license is required.
• 1-3 years prior experience in heavy equipment repair is required. 
• Must have or be willing to complete formal Allison training. 

Preferred Skills

• Must be a strong team player with a personal commitment toward the business and its customers.
• Should be able lift 50 lbs. repeatedly
• Must be able to handle stress caused in meeting deadlines and have the ability to shift priorities easily.
