The Senior Info Security Engineer will help defend against network threats, inform you of potential network vulnerabilities, accelerate online asset performance, and monitor client website performance through multiple services and offerings. Neustar Security Services offers the largest, most distributed DDoS mitigation network in the world with over 11 Tbps of capacity. Our industry leading UltraDDoS defense service ensures full coverage in an attack. Our UltraDNS service manages 10% of all internet traffic, routes over 1 trillion queries a month, and provides industry leading uptime with 100% availability.
Responsibilities
Monitor and provide break/fix maintenance to systems.
Perform periodic maintenance such as upgrades to network equipment.
Collaborate with architects and developers to ensure systems are designed with ‘operability’ in mind.
Engage with vendor and provider to troubleshoot Layer 1-7 issues.
Assist with implementation of new systems per architectural designs.
Participate on Customer calls to resolve network issues.
Maintain systems documentation such as method of procedures and disaster recovery procedures.
Develop tools to improve our ability to deploy and monitor systems.
Participate in a 24x7 oncall rotation for third-tier escalations.
Qualifications
7+ years experience with ISP-level network support and operations.
4 year college degree (BA or BS) or equivalent.
Operational experience with enterprise/carrier-class routers and switches (Arista, Cisco and/or Juniper required).
Must have superior routing protocol troubleshooting skills with a focus on BGP.
Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP, GRE, IPSec, DNS, and SNMP protocols.
Experience with dual-stack IPv4 and IPv6 network routing environments.
Operational experience with access control mechanisms to prevent unwanted access.
Operational experience using Linux systems for network and systems administration tasks.
Experience with network monitoring and operations support systems.
Experience with industry-standard network change management and configuration policies.
Experience with network orchestration tools a plus.
Experience with automation tools (AWX, GIT).
Excellent troubleshooting and creative problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
