Marketing and Communications Coordinator

Key Role:  Reporting to the Director of Advancement, this person is responsible for executing the annual appeal plan by managing the marketing, and communicating to both internal and external partners as well as the general public.

Key Responsibilities:  What factors define and differentiate this position from all other positions?

  • In coordination with the Director of Advancement and Donor Relations Manager, help manage the annual appeal plan through multiple, integrated marketing, communications, and in-person channels, including department events.
  • Projects and activities include the creation and oversight of content and design including messaging, graphics, photos, video, emails/e-newsletters, programming stories, social media, website, and writing content for donor communications
  • Manage marketing and communications aspects of events, including but not limited to printed/digital materials, signs, technical aspects
  • Work closely with the Donor Relations Manager to cultivate and steward partners to accomplish fundraising goals
  • Work closely with work study students and interns to coordinate events, manage digital marketing and fundraise
  • Acts as a liaison with other resources/departments as appropriate
  • Educates the Development Team on program needs and happenings

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, photo editing software, graphic design programs, paid and organic social media platforms, and SEO and website editing tools
  • Marketing experience preferred


Qualifications: 2+ year degree or 2+ years' experience preferred; reports to Director of Advancement; 40 hours weekly; FLSA non exempt; applicant needs to have an understanding that UYI is primarily a faith based organization.
