Legion Systems is seeking an Application Engineer – SharePoint

Support US Marine Corps (USMC) enterprise-level hybrid cloud data center and Enterprise Information Services SharePoint operations

Enable USMC worldwide customers to execute critical missions via collaboration

What you will do:

As an Application Engineer – SharePoint you will be responsible for administering on-prem SharePoint and SharePoint online environments as part of the USMC EIS program. You will support system operations, hardening, migration capabilities, customer interaction and support, patching, and IL6 migration and operations.

-Responsible for the design, deployment, maintenance, configuration, and sustainment of the SharePoint on-prem infrastructure and support to SharePoint Online environment at a major enterprise level (300,000 users)

-Provide Tier 2/3 support for SharePoint 2016/2019 and SharePoint Online.

-Serves as a senior specialist for the management/monitoring system support responsible for system design and engineering; leads investigation and diagnosis, workaround enactment, root cause analysis and resolution for all incidents and problems.

-Supports development and reporting on application performance.

-Develop and use automation and advanced scripting to support system management, security and operations.

-Experience and expert knowledge of DOD cybersecurity compliance requirements including STIGs and cybersecurity vulnerability assessment and reporting requirements

-Work cohesively with SharePoint developers, administrators, hosting system admins, and customer Hub/Site/Collection managers

QUALIFICATIONS

-US Citizen, Active/Current DoD SECRET Clearance (tier 3 investigation), IAT II Certification required

-Requires 8 to 10 years with BS/BA or 6 to 8 years with MS/MA or 3 to 5 years with PhD.

-Requires demonstrated skills, ability and knowledge of SharePoint and SharePoint Online (SPO) administration, implementation and design

-Experience implementing cybersecurity requirements (DOD STIG) and patching to limit operational impact and achieve security compliance

-Experience planning and executing SharePoint upgrades and improvements, including SPO migrations, and executing system updates to support customer custom content

-Experience in supporting customer troubleshooting and implementation

-Knowledge of ITIL/ITSM principles and processes for enterprise system management including experience using an ITSM management tool such as BMC Remedy

-Strong organizational skills to operate independently, plan system changes, and implement system changes on an enterprise level with effective customer and leadership engagement

-Desire SharePoint certification or SharePoint Online/Power Platform training and experience

-Experience with SharePoint integration with hosting infrastructure such as Microsoft Windows OS and Microsoft SQL operations.

-Experience troubleshooting and understanding of basic virtualization, networking, and system integration capabilities

-Experience with the configuration of data center monitoring and management solutions to support SP and SPO

-Scripting expertise desired.
