Reproductive Specialists of the Carolinas is North Carolina’s premier provider of compassionate and patient-focused fertility & reproductive services, serving our patients with the utmost integrity and concern, delivered through a dedicated, diverse, and expert team of physicians, scientists, and staff. We have an opening for a full-time Medical Assistant to join our highly motivated and results-driven team in our Charlotte office.

The Medical Assistant position provides health care services to our patients, as well as other related technical and clinical support activities to our physicians and nurses. In addition to routine patient assessment (i.e., height, weight, vital signs, etc.), this position will also assist the physicians with in-office procedures and patient documentation in the EMR. As a dedicated patient advocate, the Medical Assistant will assist the Front Desk keep the clinical team on schedule by reviewing actual service delivery compared to patient appointments and advise the nurses and physicians of any service delays.

The ideal candidate will have strong MA and phlebotomy technical skills and excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team toward positive patient outcomes.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma required, and completion of a Certified Medical Assistant Program preferred.
  • Minimum 1-year clinical experience in a private physician practice or other outpatient facility. Women’s healthcare experience will be given first consideration.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in all MA skills and phlebotomy.
  • Resourceful and well organized. Committed to detail and follow-up.
  • Compliant with all OSHA/HIPAA regulations and other Practice safety policies.
  • Most be proficient in computer skills, both EMR and Microsoft office required. Keyboard skills 25 wpm required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Must relate well with patients, peers, physicians, and management. Must be genuinely concerned for people, respectful, and be able to use diplomacy and tact in tense situations.
  • Ability to communicate accurately and concisely, written & verbal.
  • Ability to work in a high-standard stressful environment.
  • Must be able to work some weekends and holidays.

This is a FT, onsite position (40 hours), Monday through Friday, including Saturday and holiday rotation.
