Candidate Profile

The strongest candidates have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid California Driver's License with acceptable driving record
  • California Qualified Applicator License (QAL) or Qualified Applicator Certificate, or has the ability to obtain one
  • Experience applying pesticides, fertilizers, and plant protectants
  • Knowledge of turfgrass management
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Experience calibrating and using spray equipment, preferrable at a private club, resort, or championship golf facility
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills preferred

Job Summary

Sharon Heights Golf & Country Club's Spray Technician is responsible for safe, accurate, and timely application of turfgrass treatments (fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, plant growth regulators, wetting agents, and other approved products) to maintain exceptional turfgrass and landscape conditions throughout the Club. 

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Frequently lifts and carries up to 50 pounds. Walk, stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in varying conditions on varying terrain for extended periods of time. Wear personal protective equipment during chemical handling and application. 

This is a full-time opportunity with regular early morning and occasional weekend and holiday availability requirements depending on seasonal demands, weather conditions, and course schedule.
