Job Summary:
The Indoor Lab is at the forefront of leveraging laser imaging, AI, and analytics to revolutionize how indoor spaces are monitored and managed. We're seeking a Perception Algorithms/SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in developing technologies that enhance our understanding and interaction with indoor environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and refine SLAM algorithms, working with LiDAR, to ensure accurate and robust environmental perception.
• Address challenges related to sensor inconsistencies and inaccuracies, effectively mapping and tracking device positions within various environments.
• Collaborate in a high-energy, startup atmosphere, taking initiative on critical tasks and contributing to team efforts.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Minimum 1-5 years of experience in SLAM.
• Minimum 1-5 years of experience in Fixed LiDAR
• Proficiency with LiDAR products, SLAM, Point Cloud Compression, CVOps, and/or ML/AI.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis, now and in the future.
• Deep understanding and experience in deep perception techniques and algorithms.
• Robotics experience is a plus.
Desired Skills & Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in SLAM
• 5+ years of experience in Fixed LiDAR
• Prior experience in a startup environment is a plus.
• Hands-on approach to problem-solving and project execution.
• Relocation to San Juan Capistrano, California (Relocation assistance based on qualifications)
