Are you the Senior Cloud Engineer we are looking for? 

 

As BOSS AI Senior Cloud Engineer, your primary role is to work within the Platform Engineering team to support the systems engineering, deployment, operations, and administration of the BOSS Platform. The candidate will have a broad range of responsibilities related to technical engineering and administration of various cloud, virtualization, and networking technologies.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Cloud Engineer will primarily work with internal teams to:

·       Develop an expert level understanding of the BOSS platform infrastructure architecture supporting the continued maturation of the BOSS Product stack.

·       Coordinate within the Platform Engineering team in the creation of standardized build architectures.

·       Provide operational support, administration and systems monitoring in response to escalated service tickets from our BOSS team as well as our customer base.

·       Ensure that issues and solutions are fully documented and communicated internally for product improvement and future product support requests.

·       Develop and present instructional / training materials and documentation as required to ensure knowledge is transferred across teams both within and externally of BOSS.

·       Assist in the lead development of containerization to support cloud vendor deployments using Kubernetes in AWS, GCP, Tanzu, etc.

·       Assist / Lead customer design and deployments of both the BOSS platform and custom deployments

·       Present enhancement suggestions to the Principal Platform Engineer for all BOSS infrastructure

Requirements:

·       10+ years of Linux systems administration experience

·       2+ years of Cloud (AWS / Azure / GCP) Engineering experience

·       2+ years Elasticsearch / OpenSearch experience

·       2+ years relational database experience (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc)

·       Container Engineering

·       Configuration Management / Change Control (Puppet / Helm Charts)

·       Experience with setting up and configuring SSO technologies such as OpenID, OAuth2, SAML etc

 

Beneficial Experience

·       Strong experience with self-hosted identity providers like Keycloak and Authelia, or SaaS providers like Okta and Auth0

·       Experience with scripting languages including python and bash

·       Engineering and configuration management of Elasticsearch in a scaled production environment.

·       Agile development, including knowledge of CI/CD toolsets (e.g., Gitlab)

·       Helm chart development experience
