Research Associate I/II
About the Opportunity
Meadowhawk Biolabs is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Research Associate to work within the non-GLP Immunoanalytical Services Team at our Hayward, CA location to perform Ligand Binding Assays (LBA) in a fast-paced team environment. The ideal candidate is driven, hardworking, willing to learn, dedicated, and passionate about science. Given that we are a newly launched Contract Research Organization (CRO) founded by an experienced team of industry veterans, this ground floor position offers unique opportunities for the successful candidate to contribute meaningfully to the creation and development of our services, expand their knowledge base by participation in multidisciplinary teams, and advance their career in capabilities and responsibilities.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Under close guidance from senior scientific staff, the successful candidate will:
- Execute routine lab procedures for analysis of large molecules such as antibodies, ADCs, therapeutic proteins and cytokines from complex biological matrices
- Develop basic skills for operation of platforms such as ELISA plate readers and MSD workstations for quantitative analysis
- Utilize analytical software to process data and evaluate results
- Prepare and review data summaries for submission to clients
- Participate in efforts to improve processes and streamline procedures
- Proactively communicate analytical results and study status with Principal Investigator
- Collaborate with colleagues at all levels within and across departments
- Perform all other related duties as assigned
Minimum Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or another related scientific field. Experience in ELISA/plate-based assays (experience with MSD platform is not required but is a plus). Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered as substitution for the specific criteria outlined above.

- Able to multitask and independently manage time to maximize productivity
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Compensation:
The starting salary for this position is $55,000. The specific salary for this position may vary and will be based upon factors including, but not limited to the individual’s experience, education, and skills. In addition to salary, Meadowhawk Biolabs provides a full benefits package upon hire date.
