About the Opportunity


Meadowhawk Biolabs is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated team member to lead our business development efforts focusing upon the Boston Biohub and other regions of New England with support from our Marlboro, MA location.  The ideal candidate will have prior experience and demonstrated success selling a variety of drug discovery and development services with excellence in all phases of client service and business development, spanning the range from identifying and developing new clients through relationship management and retention of existing clients.  Given that we are a newly launched and well-funded Contract Research Organization (CRO) founded by an experienced team of industry veterans, this position is our first for this role in the  Boston region and thus offers unique ground floor opportunities for the successful candidate to work with us to create and grow our presence and reputation in this critical market as well as to markedly contribute to Meadowhawk’s success as well as their own career development.

Meadowhawk Biolabs, a new start-up CRO organization which has operations in Boston and San Francisco area, are looking for a self-motivated, team-oriented, and collaborative sales director to join our team.


 Key Roles & Responsibilities:


·        Commit to company core values and founding principles of open engagement, transparency, integrity, collaboration, learning, and dedication to excellence


·        Align with management team to develop annual executable sales plan and deliver quarterly/annual sales targets within designated territory


·        Work closely and collaborate with operational teams to meet and exceed client’s expectations, and communicate effectively both internally and externally


·        Have an excellent comprehension of sales cycle management, particularly in drug discovery and early development stages; able to deliver desired results from inquiries to sign contracts


·        Act as a key marketing advocator to participate in all marketing activities including marketing blogs, webinars, website feedback gathering, attendance at conferences, tradeshows, symposiums, and other related industry events


·        Able to convert opportunities through effective communication and timely resolution; provide regular and accurate sales forecasts as primary matrices based on an in-depth understanding of decision-making criteria, process, and timing


·        Act as “project manager” for the RFP/Quote process for strategic accounts, leading internal teams through strategy development and final proposal deliverables


·        Support current clients and generate repeat business based on an in depth understanding of their needs and objectives


·        Actively contribute and participate in team sales meetings and training


·        Position will report to VP Sales & Marketing


·        Travel within U.S and Canada.



 


 Minimum Education, Skills and Qualifications:



·        Bachelor and/or Graduate degree in business or science degree desired


·        5-10+years industry experience, including 3+ years sales experience; preferably in preclinical CRO


·        Individual must possess a client centric, team-oriented mentality to establish and maintain effective, long-term working relationships with internal colleagues and external clients


·        Proven track record of sales achievements related to sales targets (or related metrics)


·        Able to thrive in fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and working efficiently


·        Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.


·        Proficiency in CRM, Microsoft Office required (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)


·        Perform and follow established sales procedures with excellent attention to details with CRM, Outlook365 package
