Position Overview

Valid8 Financial is seeking an Event Marketing Manager who will be primarily responsible for the strategy and execution of Valid8’s event marketing program, including webinars, tradeshows, conferences, and high-touch private events for target accounts. This is an opportunity to help further develop the marketing function at a high-growth, fast-moving start up, with significant future career growth potential.

 

As an Event Marketing Manager at Valid8 Financial, you will report to the head of marketing and work cross-functionally with Sales, Account Management, and other members of the marketing team to plan and execute our presence at industry events as well as our privately hosted events for target accounts.

Please note that this position is required to be present in the Boulder office 2-3 days per week when not traveling for events.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Events Strategy & Budget

  • Develop and manage an annual events plan, including documenting a strategy – what we are trying to achieve, how we will achieve it, and which events we will target for which types of engagement; the plan should include webinars, small private events, tradeshows, and conferences.
  • Develop and manage an event budget including all expenses related to webinars, small private events, tradeshow/conference sponsorships, on-site activations, booth and materials storage and transport, content development and printing, and all ancillary expenses.

Webinars

  • Work with internal and external presenters to develop content aligned with the overall marketing strategy.
  • Collaborate with other members of the marketing team to promote webinars to target lists via organic social and email marketing.
  • Manage all aspects of live webinar registration.
  • Manage day-of execution, including facilitating live Q&A with presenters, as needed.
  • Manage post-webinar lead routing and reporting.

Private Events

  • Collaborate with Sales and other members of marketing to develop plans for small, private events within approved budgets, focused on engaging target accounts, including invite list, promotion plan, venue, food and beverage, post-event follow up, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with Sales to promote and drive attendance.
  • Manage day-of execution, including managing on-site, as needed.
  • Manage post-event follow up, in collaboration with Sales.

Tradeshows & Conferences

  • Develop and manage a plan for each event, including collaborating with Sales to determine all details for pre-event communications, on-site activations (booth, materials, presentations, private events), and post-event follow ups.
  • Collaborate with other members of the marketing team to promote our event presence to target lists via organic social and email marketing.
  • Manage all pre-event, on-site, and post-event execution, including but not limited to all logistics, content, and communications.
  • Travel to events, as needed, to support Sales on-site.

Measurement & Reporting

  • Develop and report via a consistent marketing dashboard with a focus on quarterly business reviews that share insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage and report on events budget monthly and/or as requested.

Other

  • We are an early stage, high growth startup and a brand new marketing team. We value team members who have flexible skills and who are willing and able to jump in and help in other areas of marketing, as needed.

 

Key Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years in b2b event marketing, preferably for b2b SaaS startups
  • Extensive experience in the development and execution of event strategies spanning webinars, private hosted events, tradeshows and conferences.
  • Experience driving registrations, attendance, and engagement via organic social and email marketing.
  • Experience managing an events budget.
  • Familiarity with Hubspot Marketing for email marketing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Willingness to go deep to understand and empathize with the target audiences
  • Collaborative, growth mindset

Desired but not required:

  • Proficiency with Hubspot Sales and/or Hubspot CRM
