About the Role
 We are seeking a Director of Finance to build and lead our finance function as we scale. This role will oversee all operational finances - forecasting, modeling, cash management, accounting oversight (AR/AP, bookkeeping, tax strategy) - and will be a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team.

The Director of Finance will also be responsible for revenue cycle management, ensuring billing, collections, and revenue processes are efficient, compliant, and optimized for growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a world-class finance function, including accounting, financial operations, and strategic finance.

  • Own revenue cycle management (RCM): ensure billing, collections, and revenue recognition processes are efficient, accurate, and compliant.

  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models that drive critical business insights and decision-making.

  • Lead annual and periodic budgeting processes; track department-level budgets, and analyze monthly/quarterly actuals vs. forecast.

  • Partner directly with the CEO on fundraising, product expansion, investor relations, and strategic initiatives.

  • Deliver clear, actionable reporting for stakeholders including board members, investors, and department leaders.

  • Collaborate with external bookkeepers and accounting partners to close the books and maintain strong financial controls.

  • Select and implement financial tools and systems needed to support scale.

  • Build accounting policies, financial procedures, and internal controls that grow with the business.

  • Assist with other general admin and operations-related tasks, as needed.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • 7+ years experience in finance and accounting, with a strong track record scaling early-stage or growth-stage companies.

  • 2+ years experience building and managing finance teams.

  • Deep understanding of financial reporting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and GAAP accounting standards.

  • Strong experience with revenue cycle management, especially in healthcare or service-based models.

  • Skilled at turning complex data into clear, concise insights and recommendations.

  • Highly organized, self-directed, and detail-oriented.

  • Proficient with modern finance tools (Quickbooks, Netsuite, Domo, etc.).
