Job Description:

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized Program Manager to join our growing organization. In this position, you will play a key role in strategic program management, overseeing and coordinating multiple projects, products, and initiatives across a select program. You will be tasked with improving project efficiencies, tracking long-term goals, and developing program and project budgets. Candidates should have a strong working knowledge of performance and operations management to optimize productivity and employee satisfaction.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and adjust long and short-term project plans.
  • Prepare reports and briefings on program status, policies and procedures, in support of acquisition program milestones.
  • Maintain a stringent quality control standard on the production of deliverables, ensuring adherence to expected standards and policy compliance while fostering a culture of excellence, consistency, and reliability.
  • Analyze effectiveness and efficiency of program; develop recommendations to improve program operations.
  • Adjust technical support to meet emergencies, changing projects, or production requirements within available resources and without sacrifice to completeness and accuracy.
  • Interpret regulatory directives, oversee contract compliance, and coordinate essential program information with internal and external stakeholders to guarantee a unified and effectively communicated strategy.
  • Respond to data calls and inquiries on program policies and procedures.
  • Research ways to eliminate program bottlenecks and barriers to production; support government counterparts (customers) in development of solutions to program issues.
  • Manage program cost, schedule, performance, and risks in accordance with policies and procedures; formulate proposed mitigations as necessary.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with external partners and vendors by identifying and implementing procurement strategies that align with client needs to cultivate beneficial partnerships.
  • Supervise, mentor and manage internal Team Leads.

 

Requirements

 

  • 10+ years leading diverse teams with 14 or more direct reports in the commercial or defense contract environment.
  • 10+ years of experience successfully managing complex projects or government programs as a Program Manager, Project Manager or Site Lead (collective experience in these roles is acceptable)
  • Certified Program Management Professional (PMP), or in lieu of Project Management certified, with the ability to obtain PMP within 6 months of hire. (reimbursement options will be provided)
  • Must have TS level security clearance on day 1.
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree (Business, Management, Administration, Intelligence or related field).
  • Proven financial management and budgeting experience utilizing systems such as Unanet or similar financial platforms.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of effectively conveying complex information to various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team leader, showcasing initiative and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience in fostering external partnerships and business to business relationships.
  • Adept at navigating fast paced and sensitive secure environments, with a proven record of excellence in similar roles.
  • Must be analytical, flexible, team-oriented, have good interpersonal, communication, and follow-up skills with strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
