Job Description
The Admin/Supply Clerk performs administrative duties and maintains a database inventory of all materials and equipment at the facility.
Responsibilities
• Operate and maintain a supply room containing a variety of supplies and equipment
• Maintain inventory of all equipment in various databases
• Track and maintain records of all equipment installation and removal
• Prepare monthly financial, administrative, and maintenance reports as required
• Accurately maintain records of company funds and bank accounts
• Prepare items for shipment to include hazardous and classified material
• Pick up equipment and mail deliveries as required
• Order standard or special items directly from vendors
• Procure and maintain adequate office and cleaning supplies for the facility
• Manage company owned capital property inventory
• Manage government plant property inventory
• Escort visitors as required
• Other duties as assigned
Technical Skills Required
• Must have a valid Driver’s License with good driving history
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs
• Must be able to operate forklifts and pallet jacks
• Must have strong math, analytical, and accounting skills
• Must have good oral & written communication
• Must be able to maintain accurate inventory records
• Must be able to multi-task and assign effective priorities to tasks
• Must be able to work autonomously with little supervision
• Background in database management and Microsoft Excel preferred
• Background in shipping hazardous and classified material preferred
• Background in the receipt, storage, and issue of supplies and equipment preferred
Required Experience
• Background in U.S. Navy and government supply systems required
• Knowledge of telecommunications supplies, and equipment preferred
• Knowledge of storage requirements for electronic parts and equipment preferred
• One year of inventory or purchasing experience preferred
• High School Diploma or GED required
