Job Description
The Security Guard provides operation and maintenance services for the Robert E. Kamosa Transmitter stations on Tinian and Saipan in the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands.
Responsibilities
- Provide Site Security and report any irregularities to site the required site personnel. Provide call-in duties for power failures.
- Lock doors and gates of entrances and exits to secure buildings.
- Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates. Perform security rounds on site, operate handheld radios, maintain security logs on computer.
- Perform fire watch on REKTS property.
- Verify generator operation in event of power failure.
- Work hours are eve and mid shifts on weekdays, to include day shift on weekends and holidays.
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
Technical Skills Required
- Ability to recognize irregularities in the site area.
- Ability to work holidays, eves, and mid shifts.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- One year experience in the security guard field
Classification: Part-Time, Non- Exempt
