Security Guard

Job Description

The Security Guard provides operation and maintenance services for the Robert E. Kamosa Transmitter stations on Tinian and Saipan in the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands.

Responsibilities

Provide Site Security and report any irregularities to site the required site personnel. Provide call-in duties for power failures.
Lock doors and gates of entrances and exits to secure buildings.
Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates. Perform security rounds on site, operate handheld radios, maintain security logs on computer.
Perform fire watch on REKTS property.
Verify generator operation in event of power failure.
Work hours are eve and mid shifts on weekdays, to include day shift on weekends and holidays.
Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.

Technical Skills Required

Ability to recognize irregularities in the site area.
Ability to work holidays, eves, and mid shifts.

Qualifications

High School Diploma
One year experience in the security guard field

Classification: Part-Time, Non- Exempt

Location: Tinian and/or Saipan in the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands.
