Schedule: Standard weekday office hours with the occasional evening/weekend shift based on programming; January – May, 2025

Location: Music Hall at Fair Park, Dallas, TX

Work From Home Eligibility: Infrequent: in-person at the worksite, with limited remote opportunities at supervisor’s discretion

Compensation: $16.50 per hour for 20-29 hours per week; paid weekly

Position Summary:

The donor relations assistant supports the Broadway Dallas development team in the successful and efficient servicing of all annual fund (CenterStage) donors during one of the most exciting and busiest times of the theater season. When the new Broadway series is announced, our ever-growing donor base renews their season subscriptions and makes requests to upgrade their seats and benefits. Working within the organization’s Raiser’s Edge and Archtics software (CRM) software and in direct phone and email communication with donors giving $1,000 or more, this position plays a vital role, supplementing the work of the annual fund (CenterStage) concierge in helping to achieve a high donor retention rate, critical to the success of Broadway Dallas’ fundraising growth. The donor relations assistant is at ease working in a fast-paced arts environment while simultaneously providing attentive customer service with a strong attention to detail. The donor relations assistant enjoys relating to people from varying educational, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds.

This position requires regular on-site work in and around the Music Hall at Fair Park. Familiarity with Fair Park and its surrounding neighborhoods is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Assist the CenterStage concierge in maintaining consistent and punctual coverage of the annual fund (CenterStage) membership phone and email hotlines during published hours of availability

· Answer inquiries in real time to fulfill donor benefits such as ticket purchases, exchanges, donations, upgrades, parking passes, food and beverage vouchers, and more

· Clearly, accurately, and efficiently communicates with donors in-person, over the phone, and via email the applicable benefits, procedures, and policies of the annual fund (Center-Stage) program while providing stellar customer service

· Communicates effectively the necessary information related to a ticket transaction, and accurately completes it in a timely manner. This information may include pricing, seating location, ticketing policies, parking questions and general information

· During season renewal and upgrade campaign assist patrons over the phone and via email with completing their renewal invoice, servicing additional ticket orders and an-swering questions regarding pricing, show schedules and upgrade opportunities

· Documents contact information and details of donor interactions and shares information, as appropriate with development team members

· Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned

Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· One year of associate or other entry-level experience in nonprofit fundraising

· Demonstrated clear verbal and written communication skills

· Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and ability to complete assigned tasks

· Demonstrated fluency in common computer software including Microsoft Office applications

· Access to consistent method of transport to/from the Music Hall at Fair Park and other designated work locations (venues, off-site event/meeting sites, etc.)

Preferred Skills/Qualifications: 

· Associate’s degree or higher

· Demonstrated familiarity with basic reporting and transacting in Archtics and Raiser’s Edge including ticket sales/exchanges, credit card processing, communications, and end-of-day/drawer reporting

· One year or more experience in a $5mil budget or higher nonprofit arts organization

· Demonstrated appreciation of musical theatre or the performing arts in general

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

· Must be able to safely lift and maneuver up to 15 pounds at time
