Compensation:             $15.90 per hour with up to 28 hours per week

Schedule:                       Mostly nights and weekends based on availability and event schedules

Location:                        Music Hall at Fair Park; Occasional Work at Winspear Opera House

Position Summary: 

 

Be a part of one of Dallas’ leading non-profit arts organizations! As primary patron-facing representatives for all ticketed events. Ticketing Services Associates are responsible for providing outstanding sales and customer service to all Broadway Dallas patrons. Associates regularly interact with patrons over the phone, written communication, and in-person. They account for all ticket transactions, communicate ticketing policies, and offer information about all events in the Music Hall to assist patrons in buying decisions.

 

This position requires regular on-site work in and around the Music Hall at Fair Park based on event schedules. No remote work is anticipated in this role. Familiarity with Fair Park and its surrounding neighborhoods is strongly preferred.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide outstanding customer service to patrons in person, over the phone, and written email/chat/text communication
  • Communicate information that may include seating location, ticketing policies, parking questions and general information
  • Conduct ticket transactions using Archtics, TM1, and Ticketmaster Host ticketing software
  • Process cash and credit card transactions
  • Balance cash and credit card batches with payments processed each day
  • Promote up sell opportunities such as additional shows, valet parking and dining
  • Accurately and efficiently input and update patron information into the patron database
  • Assist patrons in completing season subscription renewals as well as associated additional ticket purchases and upgrades

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and ability to complete assigned tasks
  • Demonstrated clear and concise written and verbal communications skills
  • Access to consistent method of transport to/from the Music Hall at Fair Park and the AT&T Performing Arts Center
  • Demonstrated fluency in common computer software including Microsoft applications
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Exceptional communication and listening skills
  • Demonstrated basic business math skills including experience handling money and making change
  • Professional demeanor and appearance

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

 

  • Remain in a fixed position for several hours at a time
  • Lift/manipulate objects up to 25 pounds
  • Hear and understand patron questions/prompts through a headset and in-person and respond verbally in an audible, clear, and polite tone in an environment with several other simultaneous conversations

 

Preferred Skills:

 

  • Familiarity transacting and reporting in Ticketmaster Host events and TM1
  • Experience in cash handling policies and procedures
  • Experience in box office/ticketing work
  • Spanish or other language fluency
