We are seeking one or more Security Operations Center (SOC) Associate Interns for our Support Team in our Minnetonka, MN office. This position is currently on-site but may be considered for hybrid remote work after 90 days.
As a Security Operations Center (SOC) Associate Intern, you will work with our security support team in a call center environment to monitor, detect, assess, report, and remediate cyber incidents impacting our customer’s business operations. You will primarily aid in security ticket response, triage, security tool deployments, and follow-up.

What you will accomplish:
· Monitor systems in a security operations center
· Test, scan, monitor, and run different tools against current infrastructure
· Configure tools (data loss protection, email security, malware related, etc)
· Develop code – refine or augment existing tools, load results to a database or engine
· Performs internet penetration, network vulnerability assessments, social engineering and IT audits
· Performs computer forensics and e-Discovery
· Maintenance of our information security lab and security tools
· Documentation of information security tools, processes and procedures
· Aid our Cyber Intelligence in analysis of DarkWeb activities
· Other tasks and projects as assigned

What you bring:
Familiarity with Windows and Unix/Linux commands and basic networking concepts preferred
Relevant coursework relating to penetration testing and vulnerability assessments preferred
Programming, Web, and/or database application development preferred
Cisco IOS software, Cisco hardware, and/or similar experience in network infrastructure hardware and software preferred
Great to haves:
Experience with security monitoring and assessments tools is a plus
Previous experience in a support or development role, related to application development, desktop, server, or network infrastructure a plus
