Position Summary
This is a part-time position working 21 hours per week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. This role will focus on providing administrative support to staff and managing day-to-day office operations. Ideally, the person in this role must have experience in a similar role and exceptional references. This position reports to the Senior Vice President of Resource Development.
Essential Functions
· Frontline person in our Bridgeport CT office. Receive visitors and direct them as appropriate.
· Manage day-to-day operations of the office, including but not limited to supplies, service contracts, office
cleaning, and maintenance.
· Distribute mail and log checks into the check log. Handle interoffice mail transfers.
· Provide support for staff, including but not limited to coordinating meetings, materials, speakers, and taking
minutes.
· Complete expense reports for senior management.
· Provide event planning support, mail merges, etc.
· Keep databases, agency partner lists, and directories current: proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 is required.
· Support with coordination of facilities, and building management.
Required Experience and Education
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills; dedicated to providing the highest quality customer
service in a professional and timely manner.
· Strong organizational and project management skills.
· Excellent computer skills, including in-depth knowledge of all Microsoft Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
SharePoint). Experience with database programs is an advantage.
· Self-starter with the ability to anticipate needs and take initiative.
· Minimum of an associate degree in business or related field or a minimum of 1 to 2 years combined
experience in general administrative work or non-profit experience.
· Strong interpersonal skills; attention to detail; ability to conceptualize and develop strategies.
