IT Manager
Location: Singapore
Functionally Reporting To: Sr. IT Director (United States)
Job Summary
The IT Manager is responsible for providing comprehensive technical support across end-user computing, enterprise applications, and IT infrastructure onsite for our Singapore office and remotely for two China locations. This role provides desktop support, first-level application support including Oracle Fusion applications, and network and systems infrastructure support. The position works closely with and reports to IT leadership based in the United States, requiring collaboration across time zones.
Key Responsibilities
Desktop & End-User Support
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 desktop support for Windows and macOS systems, laptops, desktops, printers, and peripherals.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems, business applications, and hardware.
- Support email, collaboration tools, and productivity platforms.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access using Active Directory and related systems.
- Document incidents, service requests, and resolutions using the IT service management system.
Application Support (First Level)
- Provide first-level support for enterprise applications, including Oracle Fusion applications (Financials, SCM, Procurement, Order Management).
- Troubleshoot application access issues, errors, and basic functional problems.
- Perform user provisioning, role assignments, and basic configuration tasks.
- Coordinate with US-based IT teams, functional teams, and vendors for issue escalation and resolution.
- Support testing activities for application patches, updates, and releases.
Network & Systems Infrastructure Support
- Assist with day-to-day support of network infrastructure including LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPNs, switches, and firewalls.
- Support server environments, virtual machines, and cloud services as applicable.
- Monitor system and network performance and escalate issues as required.
- Assist with backups, patching, security updates, and routine maintenance.
- Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including device setup and system access.
Global Coordination & Reporting
- Report directly to IT management based in the United States.
- Participate in regular meetings with US and global teams, including meetings outside normal business hours when required for time-zone overlap.
- Follow global IT standards, security policies, and operational procedures.
- Provide clear documentation, incident reports, and status updates to US stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as an IT Support Analyst, IT Support Engineer, or similar role.
- Hands-on experience in desktop support, first-level application support including Oracle Fusion, and network/systems infrastructure support.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, networking fundamentals, and server environments.
- Experience using ITSM or ticketing tools such as ServiceNow or Jira Service Management.
- Working proficiency in English & Mandarin
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Oracle Fusion modules such as Financials, SCM, or Order Management.
- Experience supporting IT environments in China, including VPN connectivity and local network considerations.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as OCI, Azure, or AWS.
- Relevant IT certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Oracle, or equivalent).
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work on-site at our Singapore office and support two office locations in China, including occasional travel our China offices.
- Flexibility to support scheduled maintenance or urgent issues outside standard business hours.
- Strong communication, documentation, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with remote, global teams.
