Job Position: (Senior) Director – Financial Controller
Job Description & Requirements
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced (Senior) Director – Financial Controller to join our headquarters in Singapore. The successful candidate will work closely with the Directors, CEO, and CFO to drive the Group’s financial planning and strategy. This role is crucial in ensuring robust accounting and reporting across the Group, overseeing an effective control environment, and providing strategic financial insights to the Management team.
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
· Prepare financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and financial and cost analyses in a timely manner.
· Manage Group Consolidated Accounts in accordance with SFRS or IFRS.
· Coordinate with external financial, compliance and tax auditors.
· Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
· Manage local payroll processing and labor tax reporting and filings.
· Manage all local accounting operations.
· Support month-end and year-end close process.
· Provide in-depth analyses and advice to top management on financial matters related to business transactions.
· Leverage regional experience with the US, China, and Japan.
· Utilize knowledge of software, hardware, sensors, and intellectual property (IP) as an advantage.
· Ensure compliance with Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax, GST, and Transfer Pricing requirements.
· Manage and comply with local and government reporting requirement and tax filings.
· Coordinate with the Group on finances, treasury, and financial and taxation planning.
· Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
· Maintain and enhance internal control systems and procedures.
· Liaise with the company secretary, external auditors, and taxation agents.
· Manage and lead a team of accounting personnel.
· Additional controller duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
· A recognized university degree in Accounting and membership in a recognized accounting body (ICSA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent).
· Chartered Accountant (CA) designation is mandatory.
· Minimum of 10 years of comprehensive experience in a senior management position, leading an accounting team in a cross-border group of companies.
· Strong business acumen, self-initiative, and motivation.
· Ability to confidently interact with professionals in the accounting/auditing, finance, and legal fields.
· High standards of character, integrity, and confidentiality.
· Experience as a Board Secretary is an advantage.
