The Lede Company is looking for an Associate Account Director to joining its New Business & Strategy team. This role plays a key role in driving account work and business development strategy for the Brand division.

The role requires hands-on involvement in developing integrated marketing and communications strategies for Brand clients, some of the biggest and most innovative brands across fashion, lifestyle, beauty/ wellness, automotive, technology, and social media. As part of the account work, this client-facing role will be responsible for leading all phases of marketing and communications strategy development, including campaign development, execution, results reporting, day-to-day client communications, and driving project workflows and timelines.

 

In addition, this role will support the New Business & Strategy team in the development of integrated marketing & public relations/communications proposals for potential new clients across various categories. This process will include the development of industry and competitor analysis, insights-driven strategies, creative campaign concepts, and more. 

 

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

New Business

  • Drive engagement with prospective clients to explore new business opportunities 

  • Support the development of The Lede Company capabilities on an ongoing basis

  • Develop and deliver client pitches and proposals — conduct research and analysis of the potential client and the industry, develop a marketing & communications strategy, effectively translate strategy into visually compelling decks 

Marketing & Communications Strategy  

  • Develop and execute comprehensive integrated marketing and communications strategies that support client business objectives and solve client brand and communications challenges  

  • Drive strategies and proposals that reflect qualitative and quantitative research, the consumer mindset, market trends and the competitive landscape 

  • Identify new opportunities within the marketplace to drive actionable strategies and differentiation

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, news and consumer behaviors, leveraging insights to inform brand strategy and creative strategy  

  • Lead team brainstorms and workshops: develop briefing documents and agenda, facilitate team discussions, discuss campaign and project ideas and recommendations 

  • Translate client objectives into strategic briefs for Lede’s team members (PR & Communications experts and specialists)

  • Develop and execute market research plans for internal and external clients, driving scope from start to finish

Project Management 

  • Develop and manage workback timelines for client work and new business proposals

  • Inspire and support Lede’s team members to translate scopes of work into project plans, define responsibilities, and manage workflow

  • Align clients with a strategic approach that includes guardrails, considerations, and industry insights

  • Collaborate with Lede’s team members to champion assignments and to develop comprehensive Marketing & Communications strategies that drive client business growth

  • Proactively drive and refine internal team processes to optimize productivity and efficiency within the account and new business workflows  

Client Management 

  • Develop relationships with existing and prospective clients, serving as a day-to-day client contact — managing communications, relationship building, and resolving issues as they arise

  • Drive scopes of work from start to finish and be a thought leader to existing clients 

  • Advise and support clients in implementing marketing & communications initiatives and projects  

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6+ years’ experience in communications/public relations, marketing, strategy, client and account management-blended roles

  • Exceptional research and analytical skills

  • Experience successfully developing integrated marketing and communications strategies

  • Meticulous attention to detail
