The Brand Account Director will oversee both strategy and execution for multicultural programming, with a primary focus on Hispanic and African American markets. This role requires a deep, demonstrable understanding of how to engage these communities and a mandatory proven track record of delivering measurable outcomes. The Account Director will lead account management for lifestyle and liquor brands, serve as first-line client contact, and oversee 8–10 retainer accounts and projects. Hybrid schedule.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own strategy and execution for assigned accounts, ensuring multicultural focus (Hispanic and African American) is embedded across planning and delivery.
  • Serve as the primary client contact for multicultural programming and drive client priorities.
  • Lead divisional multicultural projects from concept to execution, within budget and timelines.
  • Manage 8–10 retainer accounts; coordinate account teams and staffing needs.
  • Develop and secure media coverage locally, regionally, and nationally with a multicultural lens.
  • Write, proof, and edit PR and marketing materials; craft culturally resonant narratives and stories.
  • Design and execute VIP and influencer strategies that yield measurable results in target communities.
  • Build and maintain press, editorial, influencer, and commentator relationships—especially within Hispanic and African American media and cultural networks.
  • Collaborate across agency divisions to leverage network-wide expertise for multicultural campaigns.
  • Track and report outcomes; ensure consistent high-quality internal and external communications.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND KNOWLEDGE

  • 8+ years of PR agency experience (experience with worldwide markets is a plus)
  • Deep and demonstrable expertise engaging Hispanic and African American communities; include concrete examples/case studies and measurable outcomes
  • Proven track record of success in landing media placements, including in Hispanic and African American outlets
  • Established and demonstrable network of editors, journalists, stylists, and industry figures in fashion, arts, lifestyle, entertainment, and culture (personal and professional relationships are a must)
  • Keen networker, adept at building relationships with key influencers and industry spokespeople — especially within multicultural communities
  • Proven ability to present complex industry information to target audiences, including culturally specific segments
  • Excellent project management skills with strong organizational and planning abilities
