The National Education Equity Lab is a rapidly scaling education justice non-profit that seeks to propel economic mobility by democratizing access to higher education. We deliver, and support, actual college credit-bearing courses from our nation’s top colleges and universities (Howard, Princeton, Stanford, Wharton, Spelman, Brown, and more) into teacher-led high school classrooms in underserved Title 1 schools — at no cost to students.

Since starting in 2019, we have reached approximately 25,000 scholars, from 122 districts across 31 states. While in early stages, our results to date have been exciting: More than 80% of Ed Equity Lab scholars  completing our college courses pass, proving what they are capable of to admissions offices, employers — and themselves!  They are 50% more likely to matriculate to four-year universities, and have higher persistence rates, than similarly situated students.

We are a passionate team of former education and civil rights leaders, teachers, policy-wonks, and consultants who are determined to level the playing field and propel upward mobility for our nation’s least advantaged students.
