Who We Seek

Hispanic Federation is seeking an Education Programs Coordinator to support program administration of HF’s Education program through administrative and logistics support. The ideal candidate will possess organizational skills and demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and resources. The program coordinator must be a strong communicator and able to explain the needs of the program to internal teams and to external partners while meeting deadlines and asking for support as needed. Additionally, the program coordinator will have the opportunity to support content creation for outreach materials which will include flyers and content for digital media and HF’s social media platforms.

A successful candidate will possess an interest in executing education programming and in learning more about program and project management. The position will report to the Senior Director for Education Programs and will work collaboratively with all Education Programs Staff.

Status: Full Time, Regular

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee portions of the Education Program’s administrative needs, support launch of scholarship opportunities, and ensure all payments requested are properly processed and completed.
  • Support events through outreach to schools, students, contractors, ensuring programs are ready to launch.
  • Track programmatic data and ensure data can be used for reporting purposes to internal stakeholders and externals partners and funders.
  • Manage purchases of needed materials for programs which includes supplies, program incentives and merchandise, and gift cards for student participants.
  • Support the creation of outreach materials for social media and in-person outreach in collaboration with program staff and HF’s communication teams.
  • Represent Hispanic Federation in various community spaces and when attending events.
  • Support administrative tasks, as needed.

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of nonprofit experience, experience with community engagement and program management strongly preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to function well in a fast-paced work environment, able to respond to multiple requests for assistance simultaneously.
  • Strong program management and attention to detail
  • A basic understanding of social media and trends that will promote outreach and engagement.
  • Work collaboratively and independently, have experience working with remote offices.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a flexible and collaborative spirit.
  • Ability to prioritize and work under multiple deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of Latino and social justice issues and a commitment to Hispanic Federation's mission and core values.
  • Bilingual in written and spoken English and Spanish is required.

 

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary range for this position is $45,000-$50,000 and commensurate with experience. Compensation comes with a robust benefits package with fully subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance, 403(B) retirement plan (including eligibility for a company match), and access to flexible spending and pre-tax commuter benefits. Full- time regular employees are also provided with fifteen (15) vacation days, four (4) personal days, and paid sick time.
