Position Description

Hispanic Federation is seeking a committed Quality Control and Outreach Coordinator to support the outreach efforts in South Florida. The coordinator will serve as an integral member of the voter engagement team, ensuring that forms are complete, accurate, and adhere to the standards outlined by Hispanic Federation. The coordinator will review forms and enter data for record keeping. The coordinator will lead Quality Control and field questions from canvassers as necessary, conducting frequent trainings to ensure the team understands QC protocols and procedures. The QC may also complete voter registration and will collaborate with the director to educate, promote, and ensure the success of programmatic initiatives and mobilizations.

A successful candidate will have worked on campaigns and community outreach efforts, focusing on data management and logistics. The position is full-time for eight months and requires onsite, field, and onsite presence at the Hispanic Federation’s office in Miami.

 

Position Details: Full Time, until December 6, 2024

Start Date: March 20, 2024

Compensation: Hourly rate of pay is $22.00, up to 40 hours per week

 

Qualifications

  • Attending meetings and training regarding voter registration work and best practices.
  • Assist individuals in completing voter registration forms in English and Spanish.
  • Work with HF subgrantees to coordinate with them to meet the deliverables and ensure engagement and branding.
  • Support voter registration work in key locations as part of outreach efforts.
  • Upload and redact every voter registration packet.
  • Complete calls to verify voter registration applications and canvasser service.
  • Deliver completed voter registration forms by mail to the Board of Election in Tallahassee once properly verified and logged.
  • Carry out additional duties, as needed, to support the Hispanic Federation’s civic engagement work.

When having canvassers:

  • Communicate with HF’s civic engagement team to discuss all progress and problems in carrying out duties.
  • Receive, count, and inspect all the voter registration forms and receipts submitted by the canvasser.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with the canvasser to improve policies and procedures for canvassing.

 

Eligibility Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required with one (1) year of work experience.
  • Experience of one (1) year with community outreach and engaging Florida’s diverse population around access to services, experience in Miami-Dade County is an asset.
  • High energy, positive, “can-do” attitude, flexibility, teamwork, and attention to detail; high degree of initiative.
  • Experience managing tracking systems, executing data entry, and analysis of data is required.
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Office, GSuite, and other technical tools.
  • Comfort driving and possess a valid driver’s license is required.
  • Strong understanding of Latino and social justice issues.
  • Ability to speak a second language is ideal.
  • Must be available to work weekends and evenings.
  • Must be able to adhere to Hispanic Federation’s COVID-19 safety plan.
